Application Policy

No specific flight can be requested as we have a waiting list for these flights. Apply today to get on the list. The application will be dated and time-stamped when received and Veterans fly on a ‘first application received - first to fly’ basis. Athough flights typically are granted in order of application, priority will always go to WWII Veterans, Korean Veterans, and any Veteran who is terminally ill. Contact us if you have any questions.

Eligibility Requirements

Any WWII Veteran, Korean War Veteran and Vietnam War Veteran from any branch of service that has not previously be on an Honor Flight.

Who is eligible to apply?

Our priority is given to WWII veterans, Korean War veterans, and terminally ill veterans. Other veterans are also encouraged to apply and will be placed on a waiting list.

How do I apply?

Can I request a specific flight date?

No, a specific flight cannot be requested as we have a waiting list. Apply today to get on the list.

How long is the waiting list?

What can I bring on the flight?

All expenses will already be scheduled and paid for, such as flights, ground transportation, hotel and meals. The only money you will need on the trip is if you wish to buy any souvenirs. Bring your provided Honor Flight shirts and jacket along with comfortable clothes and shoes. You will be provided an Honor Flight bag with snacks for the trip.

What is the itinerary for the trip?

The itinerary is tailored to fit the needs and experiences of the Veterans on the flight, so each flight may look slightly different. Check out the "Hour Flight Tour" page for some common stops.

Can my family member or friend serve as my guardian?

Yes! We encourage you to select a Guardian that will help you make the most of the Honor Flight experience.
